Nortrope Agrivoltaics Site Assessment Guide
Schedule Your Site Assessment
What is a Site Assessment?
Our comprehensive site assessment evaluates your land’s potential for agrivoltaic systems specifically designed for northern European climates. Drawing on our research heritage from Wageningen University, our certified team analyzes soil conditions, crop compatibility, seasonal solar patterns, and infrastructure requirements to design systems that maximize both your harvest and energy production year-round.
What We Evaluate
Land & Soil Analysis
- Soil composition and drainage patterns
- Topography and slope analysis
- Existing irrigation systems
- Access roads and equipment compatibility
Agricultural Assessment
- Current and planned crop types
- Growing seasons and harvest schedules
- Shade tolerance of existing crops
- Potential for crop diversification
Solar & Energy Evaluation
- Seasonal solar irradiance mapping for northern latitudes
- Variable daylight analysis throughout the year
- Our proprietary seasonal panel adjustment compatibility
- Electrical infrastructure assessment
- Grid connection feasibility and regulations
Regulatory & Permitting Review
- Local zoning requirements
- Agricultural land preservation programs
- Utility interconnection policies
- Available incentives and rebates
Assessment Process Timeline
Initial Consultation (1-2 hours on-site)
- Property walkthrough with our agricultural engineer and renewable energy specialist
- Discussion of your farming goals and energy needs specific to northern European conditions
- Preliminary feasibility assessment for our seasonal adjustment systems
Detailed Analysis (1-2 weeks)
- Soil testing and crop compatibility studies
- Solar modeling and energy production estimates
- Engineering review of infrastructure needs
Results & Recommendations (Follow-up meeting)
- Comprehensive report with findings
- System design recommendations
- Financial projections and ROI analysis
- Next steps if you decide to proceed
